This is an association that functions as a subdivision under Red Saree foundation umbrella. Its main mission is to bring all the scientists together who does basic, translational and clinical research on cardiovascular diseases. RedSaree will facilitate the findings and the outcome of the association to reach to the general population.

Suresh Selvaraj Palaniyandi, PhD
President (Apr 2019-Dec 2022) Red Saree, Detroit, Michigan Chapter Suresh Selvaraj Palaniyandi is the president of Metro Detroit Chapter. Suresh is currently senior staff investigator in the Division of Hypertension and Vascular Research, Henry Ford Health System. He also serves as an adjunct faculty in Department of Physiology, Wayne State University. His research focuses on the diabetic cardiovascular complications. Suresh obtained his PhD from Japan. After finishing his postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, Suresh has joined as a faculty in Henry Ford. His research has been supported by grants from Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation, American Heart Association and National Institute of Health.
Arti Bhan, MD
Vice-President (Apr 2019-Dec 2022) Red Saree, Detroit, Michigan Chapter Arti Bhan is the vice-president of Metro Detroit Chapter. Arti is Senior Staff Physician and Division Head of Endocrinology, at Henry Ford Health System. She received her medical degree from India. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center and then went on to a fellowship in Endocrinology at Henry Ford Health System. She is active in clinical research and is an investigator in numerous trials, including NIH funded studies. Arti’s main area of interests are in diabetes and thyroid disorders, and she trains fellows in thyroid ultrasonography and thyroid biopsies
